Football legend Harry Redknapp has opened up about his son Jamie ‘s new relationship with Swedish model Frida Andersson-Lourie.
Jamie and his ex-wife Louise split back in 2017 after 19 years of marriage, after having sons Charley, 16, and Beau, 11, together.
Speaking in his new column for The Sun, Harry said: “We did meet Frida and she is lovely, very nice, but I don’t want to talk about Jamie’s new relationship.
“The last thing I want to do is upset Lou. It is upsetting that Jamie and Lou aren’t together. It was a complete shock.”

He added: “We love Lou, we still speak to her of course. Sandra speaks to her mum.
“She is the mother of our grandkids and she’s still part of the family. But Jamie seems happy.”
Jamie was first spotted going for a romantic walk with Friday in the Surrey countryside earlier this year after the pair met through mutual friends.

Things are reportedly going well between the pair, but sources claimed that Louise was “knocked sideways” when she saw pictures of the two together.
One insider told New magazine: “It’s been hard because she knew about it for a while – a lot of people did – but even if you know, when you see photographic evidence it can be tough. It kind of knocked her sideways.
“They were one of the most famous and solid relationships on the showbiz circuit.

“At the time she felt like she’d lost her identity and her way a bit. That can happen in a marriage – especially when they’re both well known. They found it really hard to admit the marriage was over.”
A friend also told Heat: “It’s hard for her, because inevitably she is going to compare herself to Frida, who is younger and a model – but her friends have been really good at boosting her confidence and saying she looks amazing.
“Lou really needs that kind of support right now. Lockdown drove her crazy and seeing Jamie move on like this has made things worse.
“She’s desperate to move on and show that she’s just as happy and over him – even though inside she’s admitted it feels as though her heart has been broken all over again.”
Louise recently announced she is releasing a new autobiography which is due to be released in March 2021.
