Tonight’s jaw-dropping episode saw fans left heartbroken as Essie Harrison died in a huge twist.
The character, who had been battling cancer, passed away just before her last minute wedding to Sacha.
Fletch, who was giving Essie away, was taking her to the ceremony which was taking place at Holby City hospital.
As he transported her there in a wheelchair, wearing her elegant wedding gown, she passed away.
Fletch broke down in tears as he realised Essie was gone, before running to the wedding to tell Sacha the devastating news.

He then saw Essie after she had died, still wearing the wedding dress.
In the incredibly emotional scenes, Sacha said goodbye to Essie, putting the wedding ring on her finger.
