This Morning presenter Holly Willoughby accused a caller of flouting the lockdown rules today, in a tense moment.
Caller Emma rang in about her plans to break the lockdown rules, saying: “I’m going to go over to my sisters and she’s going to cook me dinner.”
Having lived alone for the past eight weeks, Emma admitted she wanted her sister’s company on her birthday, despite the lockdown measures in place.
Phillip Schofield pointed out that Emma appeared determined to break the rules, saying: “You seem quite defiant.”
Holly was quick to point out that meeting her sister in her home showed a flagrant disregard for the restrictions in place, accusing Emma of rule-breaking.

She declared: “Lockdown states that you can meet one other person outside, so you are definitely flouting the rules by meeting under the roof.”
Sharing her opinion on the situation, Vanessa Feltz advised Emma against visiting her sister indoors, as she could potentially threaten her health – or the health of others around her.
She said: “You don’t ever know 100% whenever you’re a carrier or a spreader.”

Wondering about the logic behind her decision, Holly added: “Do you feel like everyone else is looking for loopholes left, right and centre?
“Is that the problem?”
Phil realised Emma wasn’t going to take their advice, as he remarked: “Nothing we say is going to change your mind.
“You’re going aren’t you?”
Wishing Emma a happy birthday, the This Morning stars signed off, moving on to the next caller.
This Morning airs on weekdays at 10am on ITV
