Former Hollyoaks star Davinia Taylor has taken to social media to show off her incredible body transformation.
The actress, who played Jude Cuningham in the Channel 4 soap opera, posted a series of shots on Instagram yesterday after losing weight by eating a “paleo” diet.
In a lengthy post alongside her transformation snap, the mum of four, 42, penned: “Weight loss in lockdown. Ok, so you’re comfort eating or you’re into a self sabotage routine that you can’t get out of.
“I’ve been there – it’s frustrating disappointing and above all a waste of time and mental effort and omg the cravings.
“First forget about the food you’re eating for your body and start focusing on the food you eat for your brain.

“All movement, all decisions and all reactions and actions begin here.
“So if you feed it addictive and inflammatory ingredients it will behave accordingly.”
Davinia continued: “Step one look into the paleo diet… read about how our ancestors survived and thrived on naturally occurring foods – wild meats , berries, sugars like honey and maple syrup, then after a week shift up a gear into keto.
“After a few days shift into a gut healing mode: try intermittent fasting (12 to 15 hours without an insulin spike) I use bulletproof coffee and bone broth to fast until 4pm then I generally go paleo for dinner (sometimes I have sourdough bread).

“If I was still having gut issues I’d go full carnivore for a week (brilliant elimination diet). As far as exercise goes, do it in a fasted state (one bulletproof coffee is fine) and make sure it’s slow and steady.
“The longer you exercise not the harder, so 45 minutes slow jog with little recovery walks is far better for fat burning than suffering at full run for 20 minutes!
“And wait at least an hour before eating after your run. Pre/post workout shakes are just money makers and marketing. Swerve them, they add more load onto the liver which is already dealing with the free radicals produced during the workout.”
She added: “Start each day with molkosan and aloe vera in water to reduce bloating and help the gut heal from years of abuse and in turn help the brain get as much serotonin (happy hormone) as possible to help you through the stress!

“Any questions, pop them here. I’ve been there it’s s***. Only you can get yourself out of it. Nobody can look after you like you can!”
Davinia was a fixture on Hollyoaks from 1996 until 1998, and returned again for a brief stint as Jude in 2016.
Her role as party girl Jude led to other television roles and some presenting work on The Big Breakfast and Top of the Pops.
Hollyoaks continues on Channel 4 tonight at 6.30pm followed by a first look episode on E4 at 7pm
