I’m A Celebrity fans have mocked the show’s announcement that the next series will be held in the UK.
The ITV show announced the huge show change earlier today, the 2020 series set to take place in the UK in a show first.
Due to the coronavirus pandemic, border restrictions meant it would be impossible for the show to go ahead in Australia, where the series is usually filmed.
ITV bosses have instead decided to bring the stars to a remote ruined castle in Britain.
After hearing the news, some fans of the show were not convinced of the new location, with many mocking the change.

One said: “If they needed to do this year’s series of ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!’ in the UK couldn’t they have found somewhere a bit more dangerous, challenging and full of interesting creatures for the celebs than a ruined castle? Like how about a busy Primark? I’d watch that.”
While another wrote: “I’m a Celebrity’ is being filmed in the UK this year. What are they doing for challenges? Eating hedgehog balls? Serving up pigeon anus? No, sorry. Not for me. #imaceleb #ITV”

A third added: “Erm so the contestants will be wading through a pond full of Tesco trolleys and baby ducklings instead of snakes on this years I’m a Celebrity.”
“Haha great. I’m a Celebrity does Dog Soldiers.”
Both Ant McPartlin and Dec Donelley will be returning as hosts for the 2020 series.
Like the regular series, celebrities will take on gruelling trials and fun challenges to win food and treats.

At the end one of them being crowned, for the first time ever, King or Queen of the Castle.
Kevin Lygo, ITV’s Director of Television said: “We announced last week that we were doing all we could to make the series and I’m thrilled that we can bring the show to viewers albeit not in the jungle.
“We have a great team both on and off screen and I know they will produce a hugely entertaining series.”
