TV star Jamie Redknapp has given a rare glimpse into his private life and co-parenting his two sons with ex-wife Louise Redknapp.
The 46-year-old retired football player has admitted that it is “never easy” but you have to make sure that the children “come first”.
Speaking on the Headliners podcast, Jamie said: “It’s never easy but you have to make sure the kids come first and foremost and you make sure that you’re there to support them as much as possible.”
He later went on to praise pop star Louise, 45, as a parent and that she supports their son Charles’ rugby career.
He added: “His mum’s brilliant.”
It comes after Jamie admitted earlier this year that co-parenting his sons Charles, 16, and Beau, 11, with Louise “worked really well”.

Speaking about adjusting to custody sharing amid the Covid-19 lockdown, the football ace seemed satisfied with their arrangement and admitted to struggling with homeschooling.
He told The Mirror: “I’m sharing the kids with Louise, which has worked out really well.
“Homeschooling has not been easy though, and my respect level for teachers has gone through the roof.”
In March, Jamie revealed his sons have been split up amid lockdown with the footballer home-schooling Beau, while Charley self-isolated with his ex.

During an Instagram Live chat with comedian pal Jack Whitehall at the time, Jamie admitted that he has been looking after their youngest, teaching him about history, while “Chazza is with his mum – doing homework hopefully.”
Jamie and former Eternal bad member Louise ended their 19-year marriage in 2017.
The pair were regarded as a golden couple by fans – with heir split coming as a shock when things didn’t work out.

In October last year, Louise has insisted she still “doesn’t know” why her marriage to Jamie broke down after nearly two decades.
While the circumstances surrounding their divorce are still not clear, reports of trouble within their marriage first emerged in April 2017.
The couple filed for a Decree Nisi in December, ending their marriage, while their divorce was finalised the following months, with a judge blocking a release of the divorce documents.
The pair have reportedly grown close in the time since their divorce.
Speaking about her split on This Morning, singer Louise said: “I think that it has been so heavily documented and of course we all go through hard times.
“My priority and his priority is our children and protecting them and keeping as much of it as private as possible and loving them and putting them first and that’s what we’re focusing on.”
