Jason Manford tries internet cleaning hack – but it goes spectacularly wrong

Jason Manford’s bathroom smells like a chip shop after he tried to clean his shower with a bottle of vinegar.

The comedian has had a bit more time on his hands recently so he’s been getting up to a spot of housework.

But things took a funny turn when the Mancunian took some tips from the internet.

The results were less deep clean, more deep fry.

Jason tweeted: “Googled ‘how to clean limescale off shower head’ and some websites suggested vinegar.

“Realise now they meant white vinegar and not Sarson’s. Shower smells like a branch of Harry Ramsden’s!”

Walking Dead actor David Morrissey went for a fancier approach to tackle his tiles, commenting: “I did Balsamic mate.”

Funnyman Jason, 38, replied: “So posh you.”

However, some of his followers smelt something fishy and pointed out that white and malt vinegar give of the same aroma.

Others told the father-of-six that he wasn’t alone in dousing the house in the chippy favourite, with one writing: “Salt for the dishwasher, vinegar for the shower…”

Only a few days ago Jason boasted about his cleaning prowess on Twitter, posting a picture of himself vacuuming the top of his bedroom door.

The comic captioned it: “It takes a real man, to do a real clean!”

Former BBC Royal correspondent Jennie Bond replied: “I’m impressed, sweetheart! Xx.”
