Joe Swash and Stacey Solomon are one of the country’s most beloved showbiz couples, their witty conversation and loveable personalities winning over viewers on shows like Loose Women and Celebrity Gogglebox.
But, despite their star status, Joe, 38, refuses to succumb to any pressure when it comes to popping the question.
The former EastEnders actor opened up about his decision to delay proposing to Stacey, 31, this week, leaving Covid-19 to blame.
Speaking about wedding bells in an interview with Mail Online, Joe said: “It will come in time.
“We’ve had so many things we need to deal with, the kids, lockdown – I will get round to it eventually.”
Crossing paths five years ago, the sweethearts started dating after getting to know one another behind-the-scenes on the I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! spin-off show Extra Camp.

Welcoming their first child together last year, Joe and Stacey are proud parents to son Rex, one, and also co-parent their boys from previous relationships together.
Stacey is mum to two sons Zachary, 12, and Leighton, eight, while Joe shares his son Harry, 13, with his former fiancee Emma Sophocleous.
Happily living together as a family in their sprawling Essex home, the subject of marriage has been raised several times in the past.
However, Joe’s delay in proposing hasn’t stopped Stacey from doing some wedding planning, as the ITV starlet is already dreaming up her magical trip down the aisle.

Joe told the publication: “This has just reminded me. Stacey has the wedding all planned in her head – I’m not going to have a say in any of it.”
“Before you know it will be organised and Stacey will make it beautiful, and I’m fine with her taking it all on. A happy wife means a happy life.”
Stacey has spoken out about the pressure to get married in the past, telling her pals on Loose Women she’s happy with her relationship with Joe – ring or no ring.
However, last month, the former X Factor star hinted she wouldn’t say no to a proposal, as she opened up about her dream wedding.

Speaking to co-star Christine Lampard, she confessed: “I often dream of that day Christine. I’ve been dreaming of that day for quite some time.
“I am one of those people who still really wants a big traditional wedding and I’m not even traditional. I don’t know what it is – Disney, whoever – someone has got it into my brain that I want to be in a giant meringue dress while birds fly over with my veil and put it on my head.
“And I just come in and walk down the aisle and I’m a glow.”
