Joe Wicks has been nominated for an OBE after raising over £350,000 for the NHS thanks to his daily PE workouts during lockdown.
In March, Joe, aka The Body Coach, announced he would be hosting 9am PE lessons for people of all ages to help everyone stay fit during the coronavirus pandemic – and revealed all money raised would be donated to the National Health Service.
Since then, he has managed to broadcast his videos to thousands of people across the globe encouraging all to get moving as gyms remain shut due to Covid-19.
Thanks to his fundraising efforts, it has been reported his fans have nominated him for the coveted Honours list.

“Hundreds of requests putting his name forward for an OBE have been handed to the Honours committee,” a source told The Sun.
“Many have been written by children who think Joe is fantastic.”
The added: “Getting an honour from the Queen would be the icing on the cake for Joe.”

Joe now boasts over 2million subscribers to his YouTube channel and his beloved wife Rosie also helps during the workouts after he underwent surgery on his hand earlier this month.
And since his popularity has skyrocketed, both in Britain and across the pond, it has been claimed he’s setting his sights on cracking America after sports brands and major labels compete to sign him with big money-spinning deals.
“Joe has been pretty astonished by the way the workouts have taken off not just in the UK but around the world,” an insider told The Sun.
“Every day he gets hundreds of messages from fans in America and the Far East – some of whom stay up late to do the workouts live rather than on catch up!”
The source continued: “It’s crazy but Joe is thankful for all the people who tune it and have made it such a success. And he’d love to do more work in America where this is obviously such a massive market for this kind of thing.”
