Kanye West 'humiliated' Kim and North with abortion rant, says Piers Morgan

Piers Morgan has hit out at Kanye West for “humiliating” wife Kim Kardashian during his presidential campaign in Charleston over the weekend.

The 55-year-old television presenter has taken to his Daily Mail column to discuss Kanye’s abortion rant at his campaign rally on Sunday.

Piers slammed Kanye for “humiliating” his wife and “hurting” his daughter North with the shocking confession, as he said Kanye was having a “celebrity meltdown”.

The rapper and fashion mogul launched his campaign for the White House, covering a number of topics in a bizarre address including the subject of abortion.

The father of four took time to clarify that he wouldn’t seek to abolish abortion were he to land in the Oval Office come November.

Kanye, 43, also took time to share personal stories with the crowd, including of how he had wanted his then girlfriend Kim, 39, to get an abortion when she fell pregnant with eldest daughter North, now seven.

After telling the crowds that his own dad wanted to abort him as a child, Kanye broke down in tears as he said: “My mom saved my life. There would have been no Kanye West, because my dad was too busy.

Wearing a bulletproof vest and with ‘2020’ shaved into his head, the singer went on to add: “I almost killed my daughter! I almost killed my daughter.”

Piers has described Kanye’s performance as “one of the most shocking and disturbing celebrity meltdowns” he’s witnessed.

The Good Morning Britain star penned: “What kind of husband and father starts screaming hysterically on live TV about nearly aborting one of their children?

“The daughter he was talking about was the couple’s first born, North, who is now seven years old.

“My own daughter is eight, very computer literate, and picks up everything and everything said about her.

He continued: “North will now know that for months before she was born, her parents contemplated aborting her.

“Whatever your view of abortion, that’s a very hurtful thing for any child to learn at that age, let alone one who will now have to see and hear the world gossiping about it because her mother and father are so famous.”

Father of four Piers went on to wonder where Keeping Up With The Kardashians star Kim was as her husband broke down on stage during his campaign rally.

He asked: “Where is Kim in all this, anyway?”

Piers continued: “I know her own publicity-seeking shamelessness knows no bounds, and that she gets a kick – and enormous financial reward – out of the world talking about the most intimate details of her family, however ugly the reasons.

“But what happened last night is beyond a joke.

“He’s a mentally ill man with a lengthy history of bipolar episodes who is currently self-imploding before the public’s eyes in a way that should horrify any wife.”

He concluded: “Yet her only public pronouncements in recent days have been to post more semi-naked photos of herself on social media from her new underwear collection, to drive yet further vast wads of cash into the Kardashian bank vaults.”

“Kim Kardashian must do something that she has so far in her life shown zero desire or ability to do. Take a family crisis back behind closed doors and save her husband from himself.”

Kim and Kanye are the parents of North, Saint, four, Chicago, two and one-year-old Psalm.
