Tom Meighan has broken his silence after announcing his departure from band Kasabian.
Writing on Twitter, the frontman said: “Following today’s announcement I just wanted to let you all know that I am doing well.
“I’m in a really good place now.
“Thanks for all your love and support. I’ll be seeing you all very soon. TM x #TomMeighan #Kasabian.”
Fans instantly began replying to the star to give him their well wishes.

One wrote: “Look after yourself boss.”
As another added: “Live to fight another day. Best wishes.”
Kasabian announced Tom had stepped down from Kasabian earlier today.
The band released a statement which read: “Kasabian have announced today that Tom Meighan is stepping down from the band by mutual consent. Tom has struggled with personal issues that have affected his behaviour for quite some time and now wants to concentrate all his energies on getting his life back on track.

“We will not be commenting further.”
Tom, 39, has been the lead vocalist of Kasabian since the band’s inception in Leicester in 1997.
He performed lead vocals on most of the group’s tracks and tended not to play any instruments within the group.
However, he did play the tambourine on the odd occasion, as well as playing the guitar during live performances of The Nightworkers.
Kasabian has been one of the UK’s top bands over the last few years, enjoying a string of hits and, bagging four top 10 singles and five top 10 albums.
The band, which also features members Sergio Pizzorno, Chris Karloff, Chris Edwards, Ian Matthews and Ash Hannis, are known for hits such as Fire, Underdog and L.S.F.
