Kate Beckinsale has been left disturbed after a pet rabbit showed up at her home from an unknown admirer.
The 47-year-old British actress was shocked to open her front door on Tuesday to be confronted by a fluffy animal and a basket of rose petals that had been left as an apparent gift.
Taking to Instagram following the bizarre delivery, Kate expressed her shock, dismay, and concern over being left with a living animal at her front door.
The Hollywood star – who has a home in Los Angeles and has a huge pet cat which she frequently films and plays with on her Instagram feed – shared a video of herself reacting in shock about the animal.

In footage where Kate is dressed in black, the Underworld star gasps: “What the f***k is going on?”
Crouching to inspect the grey and white animal, Kate asked: “Why do we got an adult rabbit?”

Sharing the video on Instagram, Kate urged fans not to use animals as gifts.
She wrote: “PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE however much someone loves animals please never send an unsolicited pet to someone’s house.”
She continued: “Especially anonymously and especially on a boiling hot day where it could have been left outside to roast to death.”
The US-based star went on to reveal she had given away the pet following it’s arrival.
She said: “We have found a loving home for Marvel without cats but it was quite a shock and I think pretty unsettling for Marvel too.”
Closing out her statement, Kate went on to beg fans and followers to be more respectful of wildlife.
She said: “Appreciate so much the good wishes but please please don’t send anyone an animal as a present or a joke or really at all.”
