Good Morning Britain presenter Kate Garraway has spoken out to send her best wishes to Prime Minister Boris Johnson as he battles coronavirus in intensive care in St Thomas’ Hospital in London.
Kate, 52, took to social media for the first time after it was announced that her husband Derek Draper was also in hospital battling the virus.
Her co-star Piers Morgan had posted a picture of Boris Johnson as he wished him a quick recovery from the virus.
Alongside the picture, Kate simply wrote: “Get well Boris x.”
Piers and his co-star Susanna Reid have sent their best wishes to Derek, as they addresses his illness on the show yesterday.

Susanna said: “I know I speak for all of the team and all of our viewers when we send our love to Kate Garraway and her husband Derek Draper.
“We send him every ounce of strength as he recovers from coronavirus and our love to Kate.”
She continued: “You may have read over the last couple of days that Derek is in intensive care, he’s tested positive for coronavirus.

“On Thursday night, Kate posted a video on Instagram when she and her family were clapping for carers, and said that she had an extra reason to do that.
“We thank all of the NHS workers who are working so hard at the moment treating those who are suffering from the virus.”
Kate and Derek have been married for 15 years, and have daughter Darcey and son William together.

A spokesperson for Kate said: “Kate’s husband, Derek Draper, has been taken to hospital and is being treated in intensive care with a confirmed case of COVID-19.
“Kate, hasn’t been tested, however she has also been displaying mild symptoms, also since Monday, and as a result has been on strict isolation with her children at home.”
