Kate Garraway has thanked a fan who urged her to remain positive as her husband remains in intensive care.
The Good Morning Britain star, 53, has been somewhat absent from social media as her husband Derek Draper fought for his life after contracting coronavirus.
Derek was admitted to hospital in March and was taken out of a medically-induced coma earlier this month.
Despite being clear of Covid-19, Derek’s internal organs including his heart and kidneys have been affected by the virus.
Kate replied to a fan who recommended she watched a YouTube video by Aussie mountaineer Lincoln Hall, who reveals the stages of unconsciousness that he came back from.

The social media follower tweeted Kate saying: “@kategarraway..keep going with the messages he is hanging on, for a reason, for you, the kids, he has to come back to you all and he will.
“Try to watch the youtube clip about Lincoln Hall, he explains about the stages of unconsciousness that he came back from. Big hugs xxx.”
A moved Kate replied: “Thanks – will do xxx”.

Lincoln had reached the summit of Mount Everest in 2006, cheating death by a mere few inches.
He was abandoned by his expedition team who had believed he had died after falling ill on the mountain.
Lincoln was found 12 hours later, alive, by another team member. Sadly, he passed away six years later from mesothelioma, a type of cancer caused by asbestos.

Kate broke down in tears earlier in the month as she revealed Derek had thanked her for saving his life, shortly before he was placed into a coma.
She added that she “doesn’t know” if the Blair lobbyist will make a full recovery from the damaged caused by coronavirus.
“He’s still with us, he has fought the most extraordinary battle, the fact that he’s still here and holding on.
“I am so grateful that he’s still here, and I’ve got the option of praying while others have lost that.”
