Kate Moss' downward spiral of sex, coke binges and asking 'anyone want a f***?'

Famed for her 30-hour benders, Kate Moss spent 25 years savouring the delights of debauched celebrity parties.

After shooting to fame at the age of 18, when she starred in Calvin Klein underwear ads with Hollywood actor Mark Wahlberg, she became part of the heroin chic fashion trend.

With her waif-like natural figure, Kate became the “anti-supermodel” of the 90s in contrast to those with boob implants and curvier figures.

But with her rising success, Kate began drinking to excess and at what point thought she was “going to die”.

Nearly always with a cigarette in one had, she was said to have downed prosecco at 8am and glasses of wine and vodka at lunch.

However, her heavy drug abuse reportedly began after she started dating movie star Johnny Depp in 1994.

“Both had ravenous appetites for alcohol, drugs, cigarettes, sex,” wrote author Maureen Callahan in her 2014 book – Champagne Supernova.

“Kate was the accidental supermodel, Depp the punk-rock Beat poet who just happened to become a movie star.

“Kate and Johnny were the chicest, druggiest couple since Keith Richards and Anita Pallenberg.”

The supermodel allegedly became insecure about her face, teeth, legs and breasts, fearing that the Hollywood actor would leave her.

While Johnny started to slow down because he couldn’t handle the drugs anymore, Kate’s drug use reportedly started to spiral out of control.

“In one sitting she could snort three grams of coke and drink a bottle of vodka, which a doctor said was the best liquor for preserving her looks,” wrote Callahan.

Kate was actually given the nickname ‘The Tank’ because of all the booze and drugs she could put away, it’s claimed.

After splitting from Johnny in 1997, supposedly due to her wild partying and neediness, Kate went off the rails.

“Kate had the highest tolerance…, capable of doing ‘cocaine, champagne in piles, an eight-ball by herself…and not even be fazed by it’,” Callahan quoted a friend.

“She can drink anyone under the table …a litre of vodka in one sitting. There’s not much she doesn’t like. She doesn’t like her own company. She’s addled by the drugs and doesn’t like to think.”

In the hedonistic 90s, Kate also fell in with the “Primrose Hill set” of famous friends who hosted parties with an almost endless orgy of drink, drugs and sex.

Noel Gallagher’s party pad, Supernova Heights, became a mythical place where nights merged into days, drug-addled hangers-on slumped around the house and A-list celebs became lodgers.

The swish north London home became a symbolism of the glory days of Britpop success – with drunken guests regularly seen spilling out at all hours.

Kate became Noel and wife Meg Matthew’s lodger for a time being and she began attract her own fans who gathered patiently outside.

In 1997, Noel revealed how he tormented a group of unsuspecting fangirls who turned up wanting her autograph.

He told radio host Sean Rowley: “Kate Moss’d be staying here for a couple of weeks and I’ve got loads of shopping, so I’m trying to open the gate and there was these four girls, they’ve got these books and they’re going, ‘Can you get me Kate’s autograph?’”

“You’re coming round ‘ere, to my ‘ouse, asking for supermodel’ autographs? You taking the p***, or what? Do you not want mine? Well, I’ll tell you what, you’re not going until you have mine. You’re having my autograph now!

“I ended up walking up the street going ‘C’mere! No, c’mere! Gimme the book! Gimme the book! ‘No, I don’t want your autograph.’ ‘Gimme me the book!'”

Supernova Heights was just over the road from Jude Law and Sadie Frost’s house, which was rumoured to host celebrity wife-swapping parties.

Kate reportedly slept with Sadie, who once invited Jude to join them in bed for a ‘threesome’ when he became jealous.

“They all partied together, slept together,” a colleague told book writer Callahan. “It was a very soulless life they led.”

It was also claimed that Patsy Kensit stopped then-hubby Liam Gallagher from being left alone with Kate.

In Champagne Supernova, Callahan wrote: “Kate often slept with her friends’ boyfriends.

“Patsy Kensit forbade her then-husband Liam Gallagher from being alone with Kate after learning they’d spent the night together.”

Close pal Naomi Campbell previously revealed the models affectionately referred to each other as “wagon” due to their tendency to fall off it.

In 1998, Moss spent five weeks in rehab in London’s Priory clinic, supposedly for “exhaustion”.

Kate started seeing a psychiatrist once a week as well as going to Alcoholics and Narcotics Anonymous.

In 2005 she hit headlines when she was pictured snorting cocaine in a recording studio while dating Libertines rocker Pete Doherty.

This led to a number of fashion retailers dropping Kate from their campaigns or not renewing her contract, including H&M, Burberry and Chanel.

In an apologetic statement, Kate said: “I take full responsibility for my actions.

“I also accept that there are various personal issues that I need to address and have started taking the difficult, yet necessary, steps to resolve them.

“I want to apologise to all of the people I have let down because of my behaviour, which has reflected badly on my family, friends, co-workers, business associates and others.

“I am trying to be positive, and the support and love I have received are invaluable.”

Kate had another stint in rehab and married Jamie Hince in 2011, but they split in 2015 and settled their divorce out of court in 2016.

Kate, who has grown up and ditched her party lifestyle, has now impressively been clean and sober for two years.

Instead of big nights out, endless drinks and dancing, Kate enjoys having more quiet nights in watching Netflix.

Speaking to to Elle magazine in May this year, she said: “I hit the sack at 11pm-ish and watch Netflix before I go to sleep.

“I wake up at around 8am. I’m a bit groggy in the afternoon if I don’t get eight hours sleep.”

She added: “I deal with stress by doing yoga. It helps me concentrate on the here and now.”

The catwalk queen also recently admitted that she has tried to cut down on caffeine and nicotine.

Speaking to NBC’s Megyn Kelly, the fashion icon revealed: “I go to bed, I drink lots of water, not too much coffee, and I’m trying to cut down on cigarettes.”
