Katie Price begged Priory staff 'don't let me kill myself' in darkest hour

Katie Price has revealed the dark reality of hitting rock bottom – explaining how she begged staff at rehab The Priory not to let her kill herself.

The mum-of-five has spoken frankly about seeking help after turning to drink and Class A drug cocaine.

Katie said: “I hit rock bottom and guess what, I got myself out of that rut because why? It’s all I had left of me to do.

“I could have gone in a box, in a coffin, in the ground, which was where I wanted to be, but because I had the kids and I had that little bit of strength in me to think, ‘Kate, look around you, look what you can have, look what you’ve achieved in your past, get that energy and re-spark it’.”

She added to Mirror Online : “I went to The Priory and booked in and said, ‘I don’t want to leave here, I want to be an inpatient, help me to sort out my head, this is my last chance to do it, I don’t want to die, I don’t want to kill myself, help me’.”

Katie went on to say she feels people forget that she is more than her media persona.

Despite living her life in front of the cameras, Katie insists she thinks all too often people forget she is a “working mother of five”.

Throughout 2020 Katie has worked hard to build herself back up again.

Thanks to her romance with former Love Island star Carl Woods, the starlet is now happy and content.

Daily Star Online previously revealed how Carl had been centre to her recovery following her horror fall earlier this summer.

“Carl has been Katie’s rock through all of this and is by her side, he is Katie’s happy place, he has been welcomed into the family with open arms,” Katie’s rep explained.

“She likes to think she’s superwoman and tries to be everything for everyone but in reality, Katie just needs to take time to focus on herself and get back to full health.”

Katie has been left wheelchair-bound since August after shattering her feet and ankles while on holiday in Turkey.

The outspoken gal jumped off a wall and fell before being rushed to A&E, where she had her feet placed in casts.

Katie then jetted back to the UK where she received emergency surgery.

Despite the six-hour surgery being a success may still not be able to walk properly for six months.
