Kerry Katona has spoken frankly about her fears her friend Katie Price could be sent on a downwards spiral by the news her ex husband Kieran Hayler is engaged to his long-term girlfriend.
The Atomic Kitten babe admits she thinks that the news could ‘mess Katie’s head up’ and have a detrimental effect on her mental health after such a difficult year.
Speaking frankly in her magazine column for new! Kerry said: “How about the news that Katie Price ’s ex Kieran Hayler is engaged to his partner Michelle Penticost, then?
“I know Kieran and I’m really happy for him, but I’m also good mates with Kate and in a way I do feel sorry for her.
“I’m worried it’ll mess her head up.”

Kerry continued: “Even though she was keen for everyone to move on with their lives, it’s always hard to see your ex with someone else.
“It always makes you wonder, ‘What if?’
“Believe me, I’ve been there myself! I just hope everyone involved gets their happy ending.”

Kerry’s concerns come just weeks after Katie quit social media in a bid to focus on her mental health.
In a final Instagram post, Katie said the tragic death of Caroline Flack had been a wake-up call: “I’ve decided to take a break from this horrible media world.
“I’m absolutely heart broken… I’m having a dramatic change in my life for the better.

“I don’t want to have to read or see anything in the press about me, my family & friends or my exes.”
She was also told by a judge she needed to pay her ex-husband Alex Reid £25,000 in damages after revealing information about his sex life.
The judge ruled that the information had had a detrimental effect on Alex, and told bankrupt Katie she needed to pay the sum to her ex, who she divorced in 2012.
