Katie Price's recovery 'set to take up to two years' after she breaks both feet

Katie Price has reportedly been told that her recovery could take up to two years after she broke both of her feet whilst on holiday in Turkey.

Katie, 41, told her followers on Thursday that she had been given some “devastating news” by doctor, but didn’t elaborate any further on the prognosis.

However, it has now been reported that Katie won’t make a full recovery from her injuries for another two years, according to the Sun.

A source said: “The recovery could take up to two years. She won’t even be walking around until well into 2021.

“She’s really upset and can’t believe it’s this bad.”

They added: “Doctors are saying she won’t be able to walk for six months, or put any weight on her feet.

“She needs major surgery on her feet ASAP as it’s worse than anyone realised.’

In Katie’s post, she told her fans on Instagram that she had been to see her doctor, and the news wasn’t as good as she had hoped.

She wrote: “Just finished my appointment with my consultant and surgeon about my feet.

“After further scans, the news is absolutely devastating. I’m gutted.”

Katie took to her Youtube channel to tell her fans about how she broke both of her feet while enjoying the sunny getaway with her new boyfriend Carl Woods, 31, and her kids Princess, 13, and Junior, 15.

Explaining it had been a “silly accident”, she said to the camera: “Silly me, at my age, should calm things down. Basically, silly little accident. I was running and jumped over a wall, as it was a little shortcut, and didn’t really judge the height.

“I just sort of fell funny on my ankles and I fractured the hairline on my heels and stuff. The hospital here wanted to operate and wanted to put pins in and stuff. Because I’m away, I’d rather wait until I get home.’

She continued: ‘It’s the most painful thing ever. Like when I was trying to put the cast on, I was screaming in pain. They said I won’t be able to walk for three to six months.”

Katie was quickly taken to A&E in Turkey last week for emergency surgery after doctors saw the extent of her injuries.

According to doctors, she’ll need pins in her feet which will undoubtedly be another agonising experience.
