Lauren Goodger hit with court bill after refusing to name who was speeding in her Mercedes

Former TOWIE star Lauren Goodger has been dealt an £800 court bill and six penalty points after she refused to identify who was speeding in her car.

Lavender Hill Magistrates’ Court heard how the 33-year-old’s black Mercedes Coupe SUV was caught speeding by a speed camera at 58mph on the A13 Thames Gateway on August 24, 2019.

Lauren was then charged with a criminal offence after she refused to identify who was driving the car at the time.

According to the Evening Standard, Colin Martin, a caseworker for the Met Police said in court: “A reminder letter was sent.

“No response has been received.”

Lauren was faced with a £660 fine, £151 in court fees and six penalty points on her driving license.

The reality TV star was reportedly convicted in her absence at Lavender Hill Magistrates’ Court on February 18.

She has reportedly been given until this Tuesday to settle the bill.

Daily Star Online has contacted Lauren’s representatives for comment.

Lauren hit headlines earlier this year after the BBC secretly filmed her agreeing to promote a weight loss drink containing harmful chemical cyanide.

Lauren was filmed happily agreeing to promote the product but later spoke out to defend herself.

Speaking to OK! online, she admitted she “didn’t know anything about the product” and went on to explain she had “never heard” of hydrogen cyanide.

“I’ve been completely set up and it’s not really fair. I wanna make it clear that I have since split with the agent who set up that job audition and my new team would never put me in a situation like that,” she said.

Lauren often flaunts her sensational figure online

“Basically, my old agent was desperate to get me work because I think she thought she was going to lose me to another agency. She called me up and said ‘I’ve got you an audition for a water company, meet me at this address’.

“I never saw the script beforehand, I didn’t know anything about the product so when they were explaining it to me it was the first time I was learning anything about it.

Lauren added: “I’m not a scientist. I don’t know what hydrogen cyanide is and I’ve never heard of it before. I genuinely just thought it was some special ingredient that was being used. Like if you asked me what is in Lucozade I couldn’t tell you.”
