Lauren Goodger's pal dead from coronavirus 'after catching COVID-19 in hospital'

Former TOWIE babe Lauren Goodger has taken to Instagram to share some tragic news that her friend, who she called Spud, has died from the coronavirus.

The reality babe shared a photo of the young lad on her Instagram story and shared some advice on top of it.

The caption from the original post read: “Rest in peace Spud.

“This virus is real, and it’s spreading.

“Please stay at home people.”

Lauren added: “So sad a friend of a friend died yesterday from Islington.

“He caught the virus from hospital and didn’t make it.

“This is real just keep safe and clean.”

The 33-year-old told fans this week that she had closed her beauty salon Lauren’s Way due to the lockdown in place in the UK.

But she added: “I am still on the Instagram for bookings and planning more beautiful faces for when this COVID-19 passes.”

It appears Lauren has had a change of heart since she got into an argument with NHS workers under one of her Instagram photos.

Lauren shared a photo of her going about her day-to-day business in a see-through top and black face mask.

Some NHS staff told Lauren that she should not be going out, to try and help stop the spread of the coronavirus.

After one said that she was “so so selfish”, Lauren told them to “please shut up”, adding that she would be going to work until the government said it was no longer fine to do so.

After a to-and-fro, Lauren then said: “Go and put your hate and negativity else where. What type of person that works for the NHS wants to write hate on a celeb’s page? Disgrace.”

Later, Lauren spoke about how she was “trolled” and told people to be kind and “just think what your words may do to another person”.

Hopefully Lauren will take her own advice and now stay inside and safe.
