Liam Gallagher has shared an update on a possible Oasis reunion during a fan Q&A on Twitter.
Since brother Noel Gallagher decided to leave the band in 2009 following a furious backstage argument at Rock En Seine in Paris, rumours around a possible band revival has been swirling around the Britpop group for years.
It was only recently the former Oasis frontman “demanded” his estranged sibling get in touch so they could put on a charitable concert for NHS workers who have worked tirelessly on the coronavirus frontline.
But with Noel not accepting Liam’s olive branch, the 47-year-old is still adamant a reunion is still on the cards.
Taking to Twitter on Friday, he wrote: “Good morning Brothers n Sisters what’s popping LG x.”

And one fan took it as an opportunity to ask what’s the Oasis latest: “How’s the oasis reunion looking, Liam?
“Think we’re getting there,” he replied.
His reunion hopes comes days after Noel announced he has released an old Oasis demo after he came across the track during a lockdown spring clean.

He admitted his home currently boasts hundred of CDs from his time spent in the group and “as fate would have it” managed to come across an unreleased track.
Noel wrote on Twitter: “Like the rest of the world, I’ve had infinite time to kill lately so I thought I’d finally look and find out what was actually on the hundreds of faceless unmarked CDs I’ve got lying around in boxes at home. As fate would have it I have stumbled across an old demo which I thought had been lost forever.

“I know some of you love this tune so we thought we’d put it ‘out there’ for you to enjoy/argue over.”
Upon hearing the news, Liam swiftly took to the social media platform and vented that Noel “was desperate” and thought his family member had “moved on from Oasis”.
Blimey… make your mind up Liam.
