Liam Gallagher says he'd be the ideal candidate to play James Bond next

Liam Gallagher says he would be the ideal candidate to be James Bond next.

The former Oasis frontman, whose hits include Wonderwall, thinks he could replace Daniel Craig as 007 after No Time To Die comes out.

Noel Gallagher’s brother Liam, 47, said: “I’d be a mega Bond. The new James Bond one, it’s all about dying, innit.

“Die not next week, can’t be a***d dying today, might die f*****g next month, there’s a lot of death going on.

“But you know they can give us a call, why not?”

Liam is also hoping to follow in the footsteps of 18-year-old Billie Eilish, who wrote the No Time To Die theme song and scored a No1 with it.

After holding talks with Bond boss Barbara Broccoli, he would also like more of his songs picked up by films and TV shows.

His hit One Of Us featured in the BBC’s Peaky Blinders.

Liam added: “Gone is a top tune – I could see that in a Tarantino film. If I could work with anyone.

“Tarantino, he’s pretty good, isn’t he? There’s a lot of him in Gone. But we don’t write music to go, ‘Right let’s put it in a film.’

“But if people pick up on it then they’re welcome to it.

“A lot of people are a bit shy about being great, a lot of people call it arrogance if you big yourself. I think that’s a crime.”

The comments come after Liam was spotted looking unrecognisable as he showed off a long grey beard during the coronavirus lockdown.
