Liam Gallagher slates 'new' Oasis track as he says it 'isn't worth a w**k'

Liam Gallagher has broken his silence after brother Noel Gallagher released ‘new’ Oasis track Don’t Stop. .

Noel, 52, took to Twitter yesterday to inform followers that he was going to release a ‘lost’ track from the band.

And fans has since gone wild for the track as they listened online.

However, Noel’s brother and former band member Liam, 47, doesn’t seem too impressed.

The rocker took to Twitter this morning to write: “Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz,” after the track was released.

This prompted a fan to reply: “Haha… NOEL’S a little bit desperate at the moment… Thought he’d moved on from OASIS?”

Liam replied saying Noel is “desperate” to get the band back together.

He the added: “Oi tofu boy if your gonna release old demos make sure I’m singing on it and boneheads playing guitar on it, if not it’s not worth a w**k, as you were LG x.”

Liam then later then took another jibe at his brother as a fan shared two pictures of the brothers as youngster.

The social media user asked Liam: “Who’s cuter? As he replied: “Noel looks like Gail Platt off of Coronation Street.”

Despite Liam’s comments, Oasis fans have been loving the song online, judging by social media comments.

One wrote: “Noel Gallagher once again proving why he is one of the best song writers of all time.

While another exclaimed: “Love it, can’t believe I have never heard this before, could easily have been a single should have at least made a B-side or album track.”

A third chimed in: “The fact Don’t stop could be forgotten about and lost is mental and shows how Oasis constantly made songs and B-sides that are a level above any other bands main songs. Just simply class.”

Announcing the news of the new song yesterday, Noel wrote: “Hey there dudes and dollies. Like the rest of the world I’ve had infinite time to kill lately so I thought I’d FINALLY look and find out what was actually on the HUNDREDS of faceless unmarked CDs I’ve got lying around in boxes at home.

“As fate would have it I have stumbled across an old demo which I thought had been lost forever. As far as I’m aware there is only one version of this tune “out there” from an Oasis soundcheck in Hong Kong about 15 years ago.

“I’m not sure whether the soundcheck version pre dates the demo as there’s no date on the CD. I know some of you love this tune so we thought we’d put it ‘out there’ for you to enjoy/argue over. It’ll be up on the internet from midnight.

“The song is called: ‘Don’t Stop…’ Hope everyone is staying safe and trying to ride out the lockdown with the minimum of fuss. You’re welcome by the way.”

It’s thought the song was written around the time of the band’s 2005 LP, Don’t Believe the Truth.
