Loose Women ‘s Coleen Nolan has revealed she is happier now after putting on some weight than when she was a size 10 after losing five stone.
The 54-year-old says she “lost her personality” after getting down to her target weight of eight stone and slipping into size 10 clothes.
Coleen, who released fitness DVDs following her five stone weight loss, also confessed that she is now on a mission to lose two stone for health reasons but doesn’t want to lose anymore than that.
Revealing she kept the weight off for five years, Coleen said it was tough maintaining the weight.

Speaking to The Sun, Coleen said: “I kept the weight off for five years, but it was so tough staying at that weight.
“I was training six days a week and watching everything I ate.
“I got down to a size 10 and felt great in that respect and clothes shopping was divine; I could go into any shop and everything would fit, but being thin didn’t make me happy.”

Coleen continued: “I lost a bit of me somewhere – I lost a bit of my personality. I think because part of my personality is always making jokes and putting myself down.”
She went on to explain that she didn’t feel like her anymore because she felt like she couldn’t joke about eating cake on Loose Women.
Coleen said: “For example, when I lost the weight and we were on the show discussing eating cake I felt uncomfortable joining in, because it was obvious I wasn’t eating it.

“I also felt under pressure and stared at by people waiting for me to fail and put it all back on. So I just gave them their glory and put it back on!”
Coleen shed five stone back in 2009 and hit her goal eight of eight stone but she revealed she is now determined to shed some pounds again.
She said: “I’d definitely like to lose at least two stone, but that isn’t to aesthetically please other people, that’s because I’m 55 and all of a sudden my joints are aching more. So it’s more of a health reason.”
