Loose Women's Denise unfollows Coleen and supports Nadia after 'witch' drama

Denise Welch has unfollowed her co-star Coleen Nolan on social media after her manager’s bitter rant against Nadia Sawalha.

The Loose Women ladies have been butting heads online but Denise stood by Nadia and labelled her “the loveliest friend” in a supportive Instagram post.

She wrote alongside a smiling snap of the two of them: “One of the loveliest of friends. Have absolutely zero idea of when this was or where it was but a long time ago! Love you Nads!”

According to The Sun, fans have spotted Denise has unfollowed Coleen, with one saying: “I was shocked as Denise follows Stacey Solomon, Andrea McLean and Judi Love – she follows everyone except Coleen!”

The supportive message comes after Coleen’s agent Melanie Blake ripped into Nadia after the Loose Women star opened up about body positivity on the show.

Nadia, 55, said on the show: “Nobody in my entire life has ever said anything as nasty to me as I’ve said about myself.”

But Melanie, who runs Urban Associates and represents Coleen and their co-star Saira Khan, had other ideas.

She lashed out, re-tweeting the clip and writing: “It’s a shame she ‘officially’ gave up acting because Nadia deserves an Oscar for this speech.

Coleen’s managed labelled Nadia a ‘witch’ in a heated Twitter rant

“In 20 years of repping clients I never saw a nastier side to anyone than I did of her and I’m not alone. Her constant ‘be kind’ etc speeches are so ironic considering she is a total witch.”

During the drama, Nadia unfollowed Coleen, however it was reportedly an “accident” and she re-followed her not long after.

But former EastEnders star Nadia spoke out and thanked her fans, friends and colleagues after she was branded a “witch”.

She said on her Instagram story last week: “Something happened today that wasn’t very nice.

“Not all days are nice, but I have so many lovely messages that I didn’t want it to go left unsaid.

“To my many colleagues that have texted and messaged today, some that I haven’t seen for years, some I have worked with on different shows, to subs to followers, to friends to strangers.

“There are so many more good people than bad people in the world, thank you.”

However it seems Melanie isn’t quite done, as, responding to a follower, she said that “time will come” when it comes to revealing more.

She went on: “If she had any sense she’d wise up before more people reveal what she’s really like, like her sister did.”

Meanwhile, an ITV source said: “The entire industry knows that Nadia is the most kind and lovely human being.

“She is a thoroughly good egg and everyone who works with Nadia only has the best things to say about her.”
