Louis Theroux has been keeping his fans updated as he turns his hand to cooking in lockdown.
The well-loved documentary maker has been whipping up a variety of meals for his wife and three children, however, his latest endeavor in the kitchen ended in calamity.
Recalling the gory incident, the budding cook informed his Instagram follower he had had accidentally cut off the top of his finger as he was chopping some onions.
Holding up his bandaged finger in the snap, the TV star revealed he was trying to follow a Jamie Oliver when disaster struck.

Looking downcast in the social media image, he explained he was trying to knock together carrot and coriander pancakes.
He wrote: “Cut a small slice of my finger off while chopping a red onion for a Jamie Oliver recipe for carrot and coriander pancakes.”
But the sight of his bloody finger didn’t bode well for Louis as he confessed he retreated to his bed for a while.

Louis added: “Briefly went pale and had to lie down.
“Family not impressed by my lack of stoicism. Me too frankly.”
“Still haven’t found the missing piece of finger.”
The pancakes are just one of Louis’ edible masterpieces having previously rustled up a veg lasagne, but after tasting his pasta masterpiece he was left disappointed.
He explained that he “had a couple of drinks when I made it” and resulted in him “f**king up one or two of the steps”.
We have high hope for Louis’ perfect lasagne dream.
