Louise Redknapp has informed fans she’s working on a new album – just weeks after dropping Heavy Love, her first record in nearly two decades, last month.
The mum-of-two stepped back from the limelight in order to raise her two boys, but following her divorce from husband Jamie Redknapp, the 45-year-old channeled her heartache and split into songs for her poptastic fourth album.
Taking to Instagram, Louise shared a snap of herself in a recording booth.
Rocking a makeup-free face, and showing off her youthful glow, the songstress wore an all-black ensemble as she flashed her trademark pout for the camera.
Across the top of the picture, she wrote: “Studio nights always writing.” She then added the hashtag “album five”.

The beauty, who is heading out on tour next month, previously spoke about her album Heavy Love, and said while some of songs are about the breakdown of her marriage, she still has respect for her former spouse, and has drawn on the positives in her life.
“The album isn’t all about the marriage which I think people may be thinking. You can’t write a whole album about marriage and I wouldn’t do that to Jamie,” she told Glamour Magazine.
“The one thing I can be honest about is my feelings, being a mum, being in a famous marriage and how I felt in those moments. That’s all I could draw on. “

Louise explained she wrote a number of tracks that are upbeat and helps her remember her strong family unit and a “second chance” at her career.
“But there are positive songs too. There’s one song called ‘Settle for Nothing’ and whenever I’m having a bit of a day where I’m feeling a bit crap, which I have, I’m a girl.
She also said that she sometimes worries about being single, as she added: “I don’t have a partner, I don’t have a boyfriend, I think that’s what’s wrong with me.

“I put that on as I wrote it when I was feeling really positive. I was really lucky that I had the kids, my family, and very good friends – even though a lot of them went to the other side in the break-up.”
Louise also explained her singing revival helped her get through her rocky patch.
“But I also got a career that I was given a second chance at. You know, that was like my saving grace, I think.”
