Love Island Australia viewers slam show without Iain Stirling

Love Island Australia viewers are missing the voice of Iain Stirling, who is usually the voiceover artist for the UK show.

Tonight, ITV2 aired the second episode of the Aussie version of the show, but some fans were not convinced and said it’s “not the same” without comedian Iain.

Eoghan McDermott is the voiceover, and while some enjoyed his funny one-liners, others wanted Iain back.

One said: “I hate the commentator he is so not funny. Nothing like Iain Stirling #LoveIsland.”

While another moaned: “Love Island just isn’t the same without @IainDoesJokes and his jokes.”

A third added: “No one says “tonight” at the start of a #loveisland episode like Iain Stirling.”

Others didn’t have anything against Eoghan’s narrating of the show, with one saying: “Nothing against the current narrator….but I think @IainDoesJokes would make the show.”

“I mean this Voiceover guy is no Iain Stirling but I guess he’ll do.” added another.

It’s not just Love Island Australia that Eoghan is known for as he’s been in the industry long before he narrated the reality show.

The Irish native got his big break in the business when he entered into MTV’s presenting competition, Pick Me MTV.

He however he failed to win, and was beaten by Laura Whitmore, who coincidentally, dates Iain Stirling.

A year later he landed a role hosting bi-lingual music programme Spin, and then moved into radio, presenting XFM’s drive time show back in 2011..

He then became the main presenter on The Voice Ireland in 2012, before beginning his narrating role on Love Island.

Most recently, he appeared on RTÉ 2fm’s breakfast show alongside Doireann Garrihy, however, he was forced to leave the show due to his job on Love Island.

Love Island: Australia continues tomorrow at 9pm on ITV2
