Love Island USA viewers have taken to Twitter to demand Iain Stirling provides the voice over for the American edition of the show.
ITV2 is currently airing the latest series of the American spin-off of the hit reality TV show after the summer edition of Love Island UK was axed due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
Red carpet host Matthew Hoffman provides the narration for Love Island USA – in a stark shift from Iain Stirling’s iconic Scottish voice over.
Despite Matthew’s successful career in the States, British fans didn’t gel with his take on the show.
Flocking to Twitter, one fan wrote: “Not sure if I like #LoveIslandUSA or not, Iain Stirling is a massive reason why we watch the UK show and this American voiceover guy is just not funny at all!”
Another added: “This narrator has nothing on Iain Stirling, he should just be booked for every series worldwide because the others just don’t work.”

“#LoveIslandUSA needs Iain as the voiceover. I can’t deal with this narrator,” a third continued before added: “His voice is so annoying and cheesy”.
Meanwhile, a fourth pined: “I miss my summer of Iain Sterling voiceovers! #LoveIslandUSA.”
A fifth begged: “WE WANT IAIN STIRLING. #LoveIslandUSA.”
In another nod to the UK version of the show, viewers were left feeling nostalgic after host-actress and model Arielle Vandenberg reminded them of the late Caroline Flack.
Taking to Twitter, one fan wrote: “Anyone else so sad to see the US presenter looks so much like The Flack?”
Another added: “15 mins into #LoveIslandUSA and here’s my assessment so far: Vegas looks good and the host is trying to hard to be like Caroline Flack.”
Caroline Flack tragically passed away in February this year.
She was just 40-years-old when she took her own life awaiting trial for charges of assault by beating of her boyfriend Lewis Burton.
Flack always denied the claims against her.
Caroline’s close friend Laura Whitmore is currently the host of Love Island UK.
