Love Island star Callum Jones revealed marriage is something he envisions for himself in the future, months after falling for model Molly Smith in the South Africa villa.
The 24-year-old former scaffolder is one of this year’s success stories from the first ever winter series of the hit ITV2 dating show, having coupled up with fellow Mancunian Molly, 26.
Speaking exclusively to Daily Star Online, Callum admitted the lovebirds have yet to discuss marriage, but confirmed they are in it for the long run.
He said: “Marriage is definitely for both of us in the future but we’ve not talked about it yet. It’s still early days. I think that’s still yet to come.”
Before adding: “I wouldn’t do it if I was in it for the short run, I’m not here to waste time.”

Callum originally applied for the 2019 summer Love Island, but his application was pushed ahead, making it on to the winter series six months later.
Recalling his application, he said: “I was single at the time obviously, I was getting a bit fed up of being on my own. All my mates were pushing me to apply for it and I just thought ‘do you know what, what have I got to lose?’
“I applied for it and the rest is history.”

The northern hunk, who was one of the 12 original Islanders on the show, considers himself lucky to have fallen in love on the reality show.
He said: “I’ve been lucky in a sense, obviously watching previous shows there are not many couples coming off the show and there’s not many couples that stay together, but I got lucky.
“It does feel good in a way.”
The lovebirds took their relationship to the next level after filming wrapped, moving in together into a swish new pad in Manchester.
When the lockdown restrictions came into place in March, Callum and Molly were forced to self-isolate together – though the experience came easily to them.
He said: “Obviously we met on the show, and on the show, you see each other and are with each other 24/7, so we’d already prepared ourselves for it in that sense.
“Nothing was a shock because it was just how it was in the villa, but on the outside world. It was nothing really new.”
Getting to know one another in the months that followed, Callum recalled: “If you spend time with someone you’re always going to learn things that you didn’t know [about them].
“I was only with her for about three weeks in the villa but obviously when I came out I was learning different things. Nothing bad, but just habits people do when they’re at home. We were used to it, to be honest.”

On top of spending time with his leading lady, the boxer has been focusing on honing his cooking skills, whipping up nutritional meals in the kitchen.
He said: “I’ve been doing a lot of cooking as well to keep me busy. I try to mix it up all the time. Because I’m still doing my boxing at the minute I make healthy meals.
“I do a lot of Thai food and I’ve just been trying different recipes to be honest.”
As for his career, Callum hinted his culinary skills could take him to new heights, with ambitions to test his abilities on the small screen.
He added: “No one knows what the future is going to hold. Masterchef is definitely something I would want to do.”
