Love Island's Joanna Chimonides spills on how to make mega money on Instagram

It’s no secret that when the Love Island stars finally leave the snazzy villa they are introduced to the glitz, glam and the bank balances of the influencer lifestyle.

From travelling the world to bringing out clothing lines, stars can go on to easily earn six figures thanks to the support of their thousands and thousands of fans on their Instagram accounts.

And one Islander who has done particularly well for herself and stayed humble throughout is Joanna Chimonides.

She’s gone on to have her own podcast with BBC Radio 1 called Reality Tea Podcast, gained 699,000 followers on Instagram and has seen much success with her adorable and funny TikToks.

And now she’s gone on to launch her very own clothing line!

Daily Star Online’s Sophie Blackman sat down to have a virtual chat with the 23-year-old beauty about her new clothing range with Quiz Clothing,

Joanna Chimonides has launched a stunning collection with Quiz Clothing

The stunning range features pieces under the £40 mark, which Joanna says she designed to be versatile so us ladies can chop and change our outfits while getting the most wear out of all the clothes in our wardrobe.

Joanna explained: “I’m a bargain hunter. Any item in my collection you can dress down or up.”

She went on to explain that the inspiration behind the clothes comes from her time at university when she didn’t have the cash to spend on pretty clothes so would go on bargain hunts to make cheap pieces look expensive.

Joanna said: “The whole idea of the collection is that you can make the very most of your purchase and use it with what you’ve already got in your wardrobe.”

The collection features a number of stunning black staples for one’s wardrobe and adorable summer/autumn dresses, which you can dress for depending on the weather.

The 23-year-old starred in the 2019 series of Love Island

It’s no wonder so much success has come Joanna’s way as she revealed her spiritual side and how she believes heavily in the Law of Attraction.

Simply put, the Law of Attraction is the ability to attract into our lives whatever we are focusing on.

For Joanna, this is something she now lives by as she recalled how if she believes something is going to happen, “it will happen”.

She said: “For me, I was quite an anxious person before Love Island, for example, if I was going on a night out I’d get these belly cramps. It’s really weird and I wouldn’t be able to go on the night out because I felt so anxious.

“Going on Love Island, I haven’t had the cramps since because I’ve broken through a certain barrier where I was really restricting myself and holding myself back.”

The beauty spilled on how people can get into the mindset to make money online

On her advice to anyone going on Love Island, Joanna said: “My advice to anyone going on Love Island is to not expect, when you come off the show you’ve got to work hard.

“The biggest stereotype of Love Island is that you come off and make millions straight away and it’s not like that. You’ve got to work hard, prove yourself, show that you can make great content and show that you can keep up with trending stuff.

“Also, you have to keep up with all the social media platforms rules which are forever changing.”

She continued: “It’s not as easy as it looks and you have to expect the negativity that comes with it.”

Joanna said she lives her life by the Law of Attraction

Speaking on the cruel world of internet trolling, Joanna recalled her heartbreak to discover the vile online bullying she had fallen victim to after her time on the dating show.

Joanna said: “When I came out of the villa I had a lot of trolling and I was in shock. I’ve never had enemies, I’ve never ever had anyone talk bad about me because I’m a nice person and I’d never talk bad about anyone, I hate that. I’m not horrible so it was hard to see.”

Heartbreakingly, Joanna opened up on how people horrifically called the stunner a “horse”, “flat a***” and had people asking her, “why are you even alive?”.

She continued by explaining how she coped: “I had to block out words like, “clown”, “s**g” and stuff from being commented on my photos so that if they wrote those things it got blocked.

“For me, I had to show who I was. That I have family, I’ve got dogs, I live a normal life, and I’m a human not just someone on TV.”

She continued: “My aim when I got out was to show people I’m a nice person.

“So, to anyone coming out of Love Island, use your Instagram as a way to show who you truly are and what you’re about.”

Joanna was also spilled on how people can make money themselves through their Instagram accounts and other social media platforms.

The business-savvy star revealed her drive comes from her beloved mum and dad.

She said: “My family haven’t had it easy but we’ve come out the other end because my dad is a persistent man.

“I’ve learnt that as long as you don’t give up, it will happen. If you give up, it will fall to pieces you’ve got to keep going.”

Joanna revealed how when she first came out of the villa she didn’t get many offers for work and only got a few but it was her persistence which led to her getting other opportunities later – a trait she recommends people get on board with to make their dreams a reality.

Explaining how one can get the drive to make money online, Joanna said: “It’s all about just keep going, have persistence and believe in the Law of Attraction. Believe that something is going to come out of it and it will.

“So, for example, a single mum and they’re thinking, ‘oh my God I’m tied down to being a mother and I want to work and a good job’, you can work at the same time, it’s okay. And it’s not going to be easy, I don’t think anything in life is easy.

“You have to think about your situation and think what is the most you can get from it. So, if you’re a single mum who wants to work, maybe start an online parenting business of some kind like children’s clothes.

“It’s about, taking a step back and looking at your position and situation and what you can make from it.”

Joanna continued: “You can’t compare yourself either. The minute you focus on someone else’s journey and not yours, you’ll lose it.

“I just focus on what I’m doing and then be so happy for everyone else and what they’re doing, but you have to focus on yourself.”
