Marcel Somerville has spoken out after he was rushed to hospital with suspected covid-19.
The Love Island star, 31, confirmed he is in hospital and said he “nearly died” over the weekend.
Speaking into the camera from his hospital bed, Marcel thanked everyone for their good wishes as he opened up about the terrifying ordeal.
“This is just a message to everyone that has been sending all their prayers and blessings,” he said.
“They don’t go missed, I really appreciate them, I really need them right now.

“It’s been a very, very hard few days for me. Saturday was literally the worst day of my life and I nearly died but, yeah, just keep sending them my way because I really need them. Thank you so much. Big love from Marce.”
He also posted a photo of the wires and IV lines attached to his arm while he rests up in a hospital bed.

His video comes a day after it was revealed Marcel felt unwell and swiftly taken to hospital.
According to OK! Magazine, the TV personality reportedly fell sick before falling unconscious.
A source previously told the publication: “Marcel has been feeling unwell for a few days and didn’t have any energy.
“One day he vomited violently and then passed out.”
“He’s been admitted to hospital and has a fever and is still feeling weak.”
It’s claimed Marcel and his family are now waiting for test results to come back to see if he has contracted Covid-19 or not.
The source added: “He’s been in hospital for two days and they’re still awaiting test results to rule out coronavirus.”
