Prince Harry and Meghan Markle tried to influence the direction of her upcoming book about them, aristocrat and reality star Lady Colin Campbell has claimed.
The 70-year-old, who previously appeared on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! made the comments in a YouTube interview on her official channel.
Lady C, who had previously written books on the late Princess Diana and Queen Elizabeth II, was asked during the chat if the controversial couple had tried to influence the direction of the book.
She bluntly claimed: “Yes, yes they did.”
The outspoken star went on to reveal she believes the LA based duo were behind calls she received from “mutual friends”.

While not going into detail about the calls, Lady C claims the pals were “seeking to influence the narrative, to feed me stuff.”
She added: “Some of it I was receptive to, some of it I was not.”
Regardless of who was behind the calls, Lady C says she was left outraged by one caller, admitting she went “absolutely ballistic”.

She added: “I will not go into it, it’s in the book, but it was absolutely beyond belief, and I was outraged.”
Lady C’s book is expected to be released this year, as well as a separate book by Meghan and Harry’s pal Omid Scobie called Finding Freedom.
The socialite says insiders have told her that the couple want Omid’s book to be released before her own.
“I have been told that yes,” she added: “She’s [Meghan’s] been desperate to get her book out earlier than mine, or at least to coincide more or less with mine.”
Despite Lady C’s claims, an source close to the ex Royal couple told The Sun that they have had “nothing to do with either book and have no interest in one over the other”.
