There have been a number of celebrity sex tapes over the years that have proved extremely profitable for the showbiz elite.
From Pamela Anderson to Paris Hilton, sex tapes have either earned the celebrity starring in the racy vid lots of dough, or catapulted them to international superstardom.
But who got the most bang for their buck?

Paris Hilton

1 Night in Paris, is undoubtedly one of the most well-known celebrity sex tapes, and stars Paris Hilton and then-boyfriend Rick Salomon.
It was released shortly after Paris’ popular reality television series, which featured herself and fellow ‘it’ girl Nicole Richie was released.
After Hilton, 39, publicly claimed she was “out of it”, didn’t know what she was doing in the tape, and was unaware of it being released, Salomon sued her for defamation.
Hilton then countersued Salomon in July 2005, with the pair settling outside of court.
According to reports, Hilton was awarded $400,0000 (£305,000), and she was set to give a portion of that to charity.
Kendra Wilkinson

Kendra Wilkinson shot to fame, when she appeared on E! reality television series The Girls Next Door, which gave a glimpse into the lives of the Playboy bunnies that lived at the Playboy mansion.
Shortly after putting on those famous bunny ears, Kendra sold her sex tape to Vivid Entertainment.
The blonde bombshell, 34, was reportedly offered a whopping $680,000 advance (£518,000), and was offered 50% of the residual profits.
Farrah Abraham

Teen Mom star Farrah Abraham is undoubtedly the most famous star to come from the popular MTV franchise, and is reportedly worth $4 million (£3.1million).
In 2013, Farrah joined forces with adult entertainment star James Deen and filmed Farrah Superstar: Backdoor Teen Mom.
The Celebrity Big Brother beauty, 28, insists she didn’t intend on leaking it but instead “wanted to privately celebrate her body forever”.
Deen has said he was paid for the scene, and it was made with the purpose of being sold.
Farrah was reportedly given an upfront payment of $1.5million (£1.1 million) and 30% of any profits made.

Pamela Anderson and Tommy Lee’s home video, spawned the celebrity sex tape era.
The video, which was released in 1997, saw them both give an insight into their bedroom antics on their honeymoon.
Pamela and Tommy Lee later came to regret it, as the tape ended up in the hands of adult entertainment company Internet Entertainment Group.
They successfully sued the company for $740,000 (£564,000).
Kim Kardashian and Ray-J

Arguably one of the biggest influencers in the world, Kim Kardashian, 39, is these days known for her makeup range and legal endeavours.
But the 39-year-old mogul was first catapulted into the spotlight in 2007 when her sex tape with then-boyfriend R&B crooner Ray-J.
Ray-J and Kim’s deal with Vivid Entertainment saw them given an upfront fee of $5million (£3.8 million).
They are also reportedly given monthly royalties.
