Music executive Andre Harrell has died at the age of 59.
Andre Harrell was renowned for signing Sean ‘P Diddy’ Combs and was the star’s longtime business partner.
The sad news was announced by DJ D-Nice, who shared a tribute on his Instagram page.
He wrote: “Truly heartbroken. Rest peacefully, Andre Harrell.”
Harrell’s death has been confirmed by sources to Variety.com, but no official statement has been released yet.
Many well-known stars in the showbiz industry have shared heartbreaking tributes after the news, with superstar Mariah Carey admitting she was in tears when she found out about Harrell’s death.

She tweeted: “Why Andre… My heart is breaking and I can’t stop crying. He was an amazing friend and I will miss him forever.”
While actor Ashton Kutcher added: “Andre Harrell, wishing safe travels to your beautiful soul.”
US star Viola Davis also wrote: “RIP Andre Harrell…thank you for the gift of so many incredible artists. Gone too soon.”

Harrell began his career as one half of rap duo Dr Jeckyll and Mr Hyde in the 1980s, which saw him working with Russell Simmons at Def Jam Records.
He later went on to set up his own label, Uptown Records, as he signed stars including Sean Combs and Mary J Blige.
Harrell is survived by a son named Gianni.
