Naomi Campbell coronavirus heartbreak as model says she's lost people she knows

Naomi Campbell has opened up about her recent heartbreak, revealing she has lost someone she knows every day this week to Covid-19.

The 49-year-old supermodel took to Twitter to encourage her followers to stay strong as the coronavirus pandemic sweeps through the nation.

Naomi admitted she hasn’t had the opportunity to grieve the recent deaths, as the scale of the virus mounts at a terrifying pace.

She said: “Going into week four, these next two weeks are going to be toughest yet, every day this week we lost someone I know, there is no time to mourn or being able to be there for their loved ones.”

Naomi followed up with a message of positivity, sending love to her millions of fans around the globe.

On top of that, Naomi has been doing live workouts with her fans and sharing upbeat playlists over Apple Music.

Speaking to Access Hollywood last month, the fashion icon suggested the lockdown was an opportunity to “reflect”.

She explained: “We can use this time to soul-search and reflect. We can’t come out the same way. We must not come out the same way.”

Praising the health-care workers tirelessly supporting the vulnerable, she added: “We’re learning every day and we have to be grateful to God for the doctors and the nurses and the hotel workers and the delivery people, God bless them.”
