Netflix 365 DNI producer speaks out as fans compare raunchy sex scenes to porn

Raunchy film 365 DNI has certainly got fans worked up since it hit Netflix.

The film’s racy sex scenes are so hot that many viewers have compared it to porn.

However, the movie’s cinematographer, Bartek Cierlica, said they were careful not to ‘cross the border of pornography’.

Cierlica also opened up about how they achieved the sizzling sex scenes – saying the stars of the film had some very long takes.

Speaking out, he said: “We wanted the camera to be as much invisible as possible, to let them act, so indeed the takes were very, very long,” she explained.

“We created the most intimate atmosphere we could for the actors. We reduced the on-set crew to an absolute minimum.

Continuing to chat to Variety, the cinematographer added: “As it was handheld I was following their action, and trying to show their passion in a natural but beautiful way. We wanted this sex to be pretty authentic.

“We wanted the viewer to hear their whispers, heavy breaths and we wanted to show the sweat, passion. Be natural, authentic, but not to cross the border of pornography.”

Talking about a particular BDSM scene, Bartek added: “Each sex scene in this movie is different. The relationship evolves. It starts with fear of the unknown and temptation.

“It evolves through pure sex with BDSM and ends with love. The main idea was to create the rising tension between the two heroes starting from their first meeting.

“We wanted the viewer to participate in playing the game that Laura tries to play with Massimo and discover her sexuality and sensuality with her.”

Bartek said he worked closely with both directors of the film, Barbara Białowąs and Tomasz Mandes, to make sure they got the sex scenes right.

He continued: “We had a few important goals. We didn’t want to create porn, but at the same time, we wanted to do justice to the book that is pretty full of very intimate and passionate sex descriptions,” she said.

“I knew that as a DP I was walking on very thin ice. It is always a big challenge when you have to bring to life a story that people know and have their idea about. Here the challenge was doubled — how to make it seductive and erotic within the borders of general good taste and my aesthetic.

Fans have taken to Twitter to compare the raunchy film to porn since it was release.

One wrote: “That 365 DNI movie… what’s that story line? And what was that acting? Porn Hub and Brazzers came together for that one.”

Another added: “There’s a movie called 365 DNI (aka 365 days on Netflix). Just do me a favour and watch porn instead?”

A third chimed in: “Not y’all got that glorified porn movie 365 DNI on Netflix trending. It said on the description she got kidnapped and forced to f**k some dude she doesn’t like??? That’s sex slavery. Hell no.”
