Niall Horan and Lewis Capaldi tour will go ahead despite coronavirus pandemic

Singer Niall Horan has confirmed his upcoming tour with pal Lewis Capaldi will still go ahead as planned despite the coronavirus pandemic which is sweeping across the globe.

Following recent government advice and the cancellation of major events including Glastonbury Festival and Coachella, most singers seem to be cutting their tours short or even cancelling them.

Nialler’s ex-bandmate Louis Tomlinson recently confirmed that he has rescheduled his debut solo tour, which was set to hit the roads next month.

However, speaking to Lorraine Kelly via a video link, Niall, 26, confirmed that his upcoming tour is still going ahead.

The Irish heartthrob said: “My tour is going ahead as of now with Lewis,

“But God knows, day by day things are changing, it would be a shame to lose it but we have to listen to the people too.”

Horan also went on to say that his recent appearance on James Corden’s Late Late Show was one of the last to be filmed with a live studio audience.

He continued: “I did the last show with them and then their shows were going to be done without an audience,

“It’s a comedy sketch show so it would be very odd to do it without an audience.”

Speaking from his London home, Niall gave an update on the situation back in his hometown of Mullingar, Ireland which is currently in lockdown.

Speaking about his 90-year-old gran, Niall said: “My cousin and my auntie sent me a picture,

“She’s behind a window in her house and my cousins are speaking her from a phone outside.

“It’s sad but cute at the same time.”

While appearing The Rebecca Judd show on Apple Music, Niall confirmed that he and his fellow One Direction bandmates don’t chat about their solo music.

“Probably the only thing we don’t talk about is music. And it’s our own fault because we’ve all ended up releasing music around the same time,”

He went on to say that close friends of his had even probed him to find out if it’s a publicity stunt – which he claims it isn’t.
