Nigel Farage is leaving his radio show on LBC “with immediate effect”.
The Brexit Party leader has been a host on the controversial but popular talk show for three years, and now the station has confirmed his departure.
LBC revealed the news earlier today, saying in a statement: “Nigel Farage’s contract with LBC is up very shortly and, following discussions with him, Nigel is stepping down from LBC with immediate effect.
“We thank Nigel for the enormous contribution he has made to LBC and wish him well.”
Farage was a popular host on the show, with many Brexiteer listeners calling in to vent their frustration at the media.

However, Nigel has become more and more controversial in recent weeks, with his appearance on Good Morning Britain last week sparking outrage.
He was on the show to condemn the statue of slave trader Edward Colston being toppled down at Bristol Black Lives Matter protests.
Farage described slave trader Colson as a “philanthropist” before Piers asked him whether he thought it was also wrong when the statue of Saddam Hussein was removed.

The former UKIP leader then compared the BLM movement to the Taliban in a shocking on-air moment.
Farage declared: “The Taliban love to blow and destroy monuments form a different time.
“What we saw at the weekend was the worst form of mob rule.”
He also likened the Black Lives Matter movement to a “far-left Marxist organisation”.

Dr Shola Mos-Shogbamimu, who also joined the debate, branded Farage a “racist” and later added: “The only expert you are now is one on your backside as everything coming out of your mouth is coming from your bum.”
Dr Shola also furiously disagreed with Nigel about his views on the statue being taking down, stating: “Properties can be replaced, black lives can’t.”
