Noel Gallagher says he 'wouldn't give a f***' if he never wrote another song

Noel Gallagher has admitted he’s not too bothered if he never pens another song.

The veteran musician admitted he’s so happy with his back catalogue of hits – and if he doesn’t end up writing tracks again – it won’t be the be all and end all.

During his illustrious career, the 52-year-old has arguably produced some of the biggest tracks in history including Oasis’ Wonderwall, Supersonic, and Masterplan.

Opening up about his musical genius, the father-of-three explained he’s “happy” with his previous hits.

Speaking to Matt Morgan on his Funny How podcast, he confessed: “If I never wrote another f***ing song in my entire life, I’d be happy with what I’ve done.

“I wouldn’t give a f***.”

The High Flying Birds frontman insisted Oasis’ best material is during their earlier years because they needed to be at the top of their game in order to stand out.

“From an artistic point of view, your best years are in the first few years”, he added.

“You do your best work when it’s f***ing vital and you are in the same circumstances as your audience.”

While he failed to mention a possible Oasis reunion on the podcast, Noel joked that his estranged brother had piled on the pounds during isolation.

He quipped: “Our kid has gone all Demis Roussos at the minute, ain’t he?”

“He’s not f***ing isolating from the sweet trolley is he?”

Brotherly love, eh?
