Olly Murs was left speechless after an Uber driver failed to recognise him, or any of his hits, during the Michael McIntyre’s Big Laughs show on Saturday night.
The Wrapped Up star took part in the comedian’s popular Send to All segment, which involves Michael being given access to his celebrity guest’s phone to then send a text message to everyone in their phonebook.
But before he could, Michael discovered the Uber app on Olly’s phone and decided to give it a go.
The 44-year-old told the singer: “I’ve never used it before, is any good? Did you have a nice journey?”
He rated Olly’s last Uber journey and booked him a ride while live on stage.

Michael added he had “accepted the higher fare” after choosing London’s Heave club as the destination.
But it didn’t work so the comedian tried for the second time and booked Olly a trip to Basildon. To their surprise, the Uber driver appeared and walked onto the stage.
Michael decided to serenade the driver with one of Olly’s most popular hits, Dear Darlin, asking: “So, listen, do you like music?
“If I was to sing, ‘Dear Darlin, please excuse my writing, I can’t stop my hands from shaking’ – does that ring any bells with you?”
The Uber driver clearly looked confused and said: “No.”

Unable to take the public embarrassment, poor Ollie put his head in his hands. But it wasn’t over yet.
Michael tried again and asked the Uber driver: “This gentleman on the left, recognise him at all?”
The Voice judge put on a big grin and waved at the driver as his last bid to make an impression.
But the Uber driver once again admitted he was clueless, shaking his head, which resulted in the studio audience bursting into laughter.
