One Direction 'was so boring at points' says Liam Payne

Liam Payne has spoken candidly about the reality of life in One Direction, admitting at times the never ending schedule was ‘so boring at points’.

In a bid to spice things up and keep them entertained, the give lads came up with a code which would see them drop to the floor.

Speaking on a new YouTube clip as he watched the band’s hit track History, Liam said: “I remember that game.

“When we didn’t want to go somewhere, obviously we had so many things to do in a day and it was so boring at points.

“We’d have a code word and we’d all fall to the floor and lie there until everybody went away.”

Laughing, Cheryl’s baby-daddy added: “I think that’s the best game we ever invented.

“Yes, those were some grown adults who ran a business once.

“I don’t know how this worked honestly! There was a number of code words…We’d do it in the middle of TV interviews.”

The string that down singer added: “It’s like one of those games you have with your friends – if you don’t follow through, you’re the loser in the group so everyone would just do it.

“It was so bad! I don’t know how we were a success.”

One Direction skyrocketed to global superstardom after appearing on The X Factor in 2010.

After dominating the world for half a decade the group hit the rocks when Zayn Malik quit mid tour in March 2015.

By the end of the year the lads called time One Direction – insisting the split is more of a break to allow each of them so focus of solo goals and dreams.

While the lads have all admitted one day a reunion is more likely to happen than not, it won’t be within the next couple of years.
