Peter Andre told fans on social media that he and ex-wife Katie Price are now “friends”.
Former glamour model Katie, 42, seemed to offer up the first olive branch as she praised not only her parenting but Peter’s too, in a birthday tribute to her son Junior.
The kind gesture was welcomed by the Mysterious Girl hitmaker, who later thrilled fans with his follow up response, confirming that he and Katie had parked their differences and were now “friends”.
As fans praised the pair for building bridges after years of feuding, he replied: “We’re friends and she’s mummy so of course.”
Peter’s comment landed after both parents took to their own Instagram accounts to share loving posts to celebrate Junior’s 15th birthday.
Sharing four adorable pictures of his handsome son, Peter wrote: “Son, words cannot explain how much love there is for you. I am proud of you for the kind, loving, funny, caring son you are.

“You are my son, yes but I also have a best friend in you. I know you’re gonna say I’m wet BUT, accept the fact that we all love you so much. Especially me.
“HAPPY 15th BIRTHDAY. I have some great surprises this morning so when you finally get your a#%#e out of bed you’ll see.”
Making a mockery of his son, who is going through a cool aspiring gangster phase, Pete added: “Big up mandem. Ting Ting. Man like junior. Init fam! #gforgreeknotgangsta.”
To which Junior responded: “Thanks re. Love u.”

Katie was next to shower her eldest son with birthday love, sharing a picture of herself planting a huge kiss on Junior’s cheek.
The reality star penned: “Happy 15th birthday to my mini me in many ways and so proud of the young man he is turning out to be his dad and me have done a good job, excited for today when he comes home for a surprise.”
It was this adorable post that saw a response from Peter and also another of Katie’s exes, Kieran Hayler.

Peter said: “He’s a good boy. I’m so so proud.”
Kieran also responded, chiming praise: “Happy 15th birthday @officialjunior_andre mature, kind and one of a kind have a good day bud.”
It wasn’t long before fans noticed Peter’s response and took to the comments section to add their happiness that the pair were getting along.
One fan told Peter: “This is lovely commenting on each others status – lovely to see.”
Another added: “Well done for showing excellent co-parenting Pete.”
