James Bond star Pierce Brosnan has revealed he has lost two friends who both passed away from coronavirus.
The heartbroken actor emotionally opened up about losing his life-long pals to the fatal disease, and has branded the outbreak “a constant threat”.
With the Covid-19 death toll still rising, the 69-year-old said the population is “at war” with the pandemic as it continues to spread across the globe.
Discussing his losses, Pierce told Parade Magazine: “I lost two friends to Covid-19. They were friends of 45 years, and I am godfather to his son.
“No matter where you are and how beautiful it may be, you still have this awful threat to life looming.

“You have to keep pushing the rock uphill, and you have to keep involved in life. We are at war. People are dying”.
Despite his recent turmoil, Pierce hoped the outbreak will change people’s attitudes and moving forward, everyone will be kinder to each other.
“Hopefully after all this, there will be more kindness and more awareness of the fragility of our planet,” he added.
Pierce and wife Keely have been quarantining at their three-bedroom cottage on the Hawaiian island of Kauai.
His two youngest sons Dylan and Paris returned home from their colleges – the University of Southern California and Loyola Marymount – and are staying with their parents until the pandemic eases.
Speaking about their time in lockdown, the Mamma Mia star said he’s been keeping busy by “pushing on with other projects”.

“[Dylan] is a musician, so he writes his songs when he is not studying,” he told the publication.
“And my other boy is a surfer. We have the ocean on the doorstep, and days are spent reading, gardening, writing, catching up with friends and pushing on with projects.”
We can definitely think of worse places to be stuck in lockdown.
