Good Morning Britain host Piers Morgan has been savaged by The Apprentice legend Lord Sugar for his infamous savage interviews with government ministers on the hit breakfast TV show.
Lord Sugar, who has long exchanged strong words with Piers via social media, has bluntly accused Susanna Reid’s co-star of “trying to be a martyr to boost his own profile.
The no-nonsense business tycoon said: “Piers is trying to make a name for himself by accusing ministers of being lackadaisical.
“He is absolutely exploiting this pandemic for his own gain. He is trying to become a martyr.

“Whatever the Government is trying to do, they are working their hardest.
“They’re not deliberately not getting equipment to the NHS, there is a problem with the supply chain.”
Admitting he has reached the end of his tether with the former newspaper editor, Lord Sugar added to The Sun on Sunday: “It’s totally irresponsible and normal people watching at home get worried.

“It’s terrible reporting, I’m sick and tired of him, he’s doing it for his own profile.”
The strong words come after TV watchdog Ofcom revealed they received over Piers Morgan’s live interview with Care Minister Helen Whately.

Never one to let comments slide, Piers has hit back to Lord Sugar in typical style.
Piers said: “If a selfish, stupid, privileged billionaire hiding safely in his luxury Florida home wants to spew repulsive abuse at someone back home for holding the Government to account for decisions that will decide if people live or die, that’s a matter for him and his conscience.”
