Piers Morgan has to apologise to co-star Susanna Reid on today’s Good Morning Britain after an awkward on air blunder.
The 55-year-old ITV host suffered a mistake during today’s programme.
Piers messed up while presenting when he accidentally spoke over his co-star when reading the autocue.
As the presenters returned from the advert break, it was Susanna’s cue to speak to viewers, but Piers interrupted her.
But Piers got there first, saying: “Well, good morning…”
Susanna had only just started speaking when Piers spoke over her, before realising his blunder.

She did however manage to complete her sentence, saying: “Good morning, Britain.”
Piers gave Susanna a rare apology, saying: “I’m so sorry” and she replied” “That’s quite alright.”
He added jokingly: “I saw the word Susanna and thought, ‘oh, I’ll just read it’.”
Also on today’s show, Piers slammed the government’s coronavirus plan in a fiery rant.
Susanna Reid’s co-star criticised how they dealt with the crisis, saying what they could have done from the start to prevent the UK having the highest hit death toll in Europe.

When asked what he would have changed, Piers remarked: “I would have changed absolutely everything.”
He said in the ferocious rant: “When Matt Hancock got up in the house of commons in the middle of January and said that we absolutely had a world class testing system in place…I would have made sure we did.

“I would have looked at what was happening in China, and then South Korea, realised that testing was key and done everything we could have possibly done.
“This all should have been done years before in preparation, after we went through a pandemic exercise.
“I would have locked down at the same time that most of the countries had got on to of this lockdown, and done it properly…”
Piers continued: “I certainly wouldn’t have let a single person out of the hospital, elderly person who had Covid-19, without having a test.”
Good Morning Britain airs weekdays at 6am on ITV
