Good Morning Britain host Piers Morgan has let rip after being accused of buying Twitter followers.
The TV regular saw red after being accused splashing the cash to boost his online profile.
Anonymous Journalist on Twitter who boasts 12,000 followers shared a thread with their followers about Piers’ alleged fake bot followers.
Their initial tweet read: “The results are in with regards to @piersmorgan’s fake/bot followers.
“4,627.500+ CONFIRMED FAKE FOLLOWERS!

“We are in no doubt he bought these follower as explained later in this thread.”
Quote tweeting the post to his own 7.5 million followers, Piers raged: “I don’t know who you are, but this is an absolute lie.
“I have never bought a single Twitter follower, and wouldn’t know how.
“So I strongly suggest you delete this defamatory thread before I take further action. cc @TwitterUK @Twitter.”
When Daily Star Online checked Piers’ Twitter followers via Twitteraudit.com – a third party site to Twitter – it reported only 647,000 fake followers.
This does not prove Piers bought them even if the figure is correct, and the GMB star has categorically said the accusation is false.
Piers recently prompted a spike in complains to Ofcom in relation to his savage interview on Good Morning Britain with MP Andrew Bridgen.
281 people saw fit to contact TV’s governing body over the clash.
Piers saw red after Bridgen accused him of getting a question wrong on social distancing.
The former newspaper editor raged: “You are a Conservative Member of Parliament, who thinks you know exactly what Boris Johnson has been saying, and you just told me to do something I’m not allowed to do.
“So this is the problem isn’t it? There is no clarity. It’s a load of flannel, talking about controlling the virus.
“You as a leading, high-profile Conservative politician haven’t got a clue about what these rules actually mean, and you’re an MP. You’re part of this.”
