Piers Morgan is known for being outspoken, and Thursday was no different as he slammed an MP on social media.
Scottish Member of Parliament Margaret Ferrier had taken to Twitter just moments earlier and released a statement in which she apologised for travelling – despite showing symptoms of coronavirus.
Posting a statement on the social media site, she wrote: “I apologise unreservedly for breaching Covid-19 restrictions by travelling this week when I shouldn’t have. There is no excuse for my actions.
“On Saturday afternoon, after experiencing mild symptoms, I requested a Covid-19 test which I took that day. Feeling much better, I then travelled to London by train on Monday to attend Parliament as planned. This was wrong, and I am very sorry for my mistake.

“On Monday evening I received a positive test result for Covid-19. I travelled home by train on Tuesday morning without seeking advice. This was also wrong and I am sorry. I have been self-isolating at home ever since.”
Margaret continued: “I have used Test and Protect and I have notified the House of Commons authorities who have spoken with Public Health England. I have also notified the police of my actions.
“Despite feeling well, I should have self-isolated while waiting for my test result, and I deeply regret my actions.

“I take full responsibility and I would urge everyone not to make the same mistakes that I have, and do all they can to help limit the spread of Covid-19,” she added.
Piers, 55, was quick to retweet her post and wrote alongside it: “What? This is outrageously reckless, selfish and stupid.”
And the Good Morning Britain host’s fans certainly agreed with him.

“This is as bad as Cummings. Complete disregard,” one person wrote, while another added: “What a fantastic example to set… I swear our MPs behave and act worse than our kids.”
A third person tweeted: “Surely she has to resign. Total disregard for public safety and the rules she is asking us all to follow.”
And a fourth wrote: “Like we always say – one rule for them and one rule for us.”

Piers’ angry tweet comes just one day after he clashed with Dr Hilary Jones during a heated debate about Prime Minister Boris Johnson on Good Morning Britain.
The conversation was about Mr Johnson apologising for confusing his own coronavirus rules on social gatherings.
He was questioned about the latest Covid-19 restrictions coming into force for North East England from midnight on Wednesday.

Mr Johnson tweeted: “Apologies, I misspoke today. In the North East, new rules mean you cannot meet people from different households in social settings indoors, including in pubs, restaurants and your home.
“You should avoid socialising with other households outside.
“This is vital to control the spread of coronavirus and keep everyone safe. If you are in a high risk area, please continue to follow the guidelines from local authorities.”
Discussing Mr Johnson’s apology, Piers called the leader “a bumbling fool who simply doesn’t know his own rules”.
Dr Hilary said: “I feel a little bit of sympathy for him in that the rules are different in Wales, Northern Ireland and Scotland.”
Piers raged back: “But he’s the Prime Minister, Hilary. They are his rules. He says the rules are easy.”
