Piers Morgan took a swipe at Prince Harry and Meghan Markle on today’s Good Morning Britain, as he praised the other royals.
Reflecting on the monarchy’s treatment of the coronavirus pandemic, the 55-year-old praised the royals who “stayed in the country”.
The comment appeared to be a direct dig at Meghan and Harry, who recently left the UK for North America.
Earlier this year, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex shocked the nation when they decided to give up their royal titles.
Moving abroad with baby Archie, the lovebirds made history with their decision to step away from the royal family.

Piers has been outspoken about their behaviour in the past, and today’s comments were no exception.
It all kicked off when Piers reflected on Prince Williams’ recent choice of words, saying: “The coronavirus outbreak has again shown Britain is at its best during a crisis.”
Singing the Queen’s praises, the GMB presenter played a clip from her speech to the nation on Easter Sunday.

Her Majesty wished the country a happy Easter, urging the public to enjoy the day – despite the heartache caused by the coronavirus pandemic.
Taking a swipe at Harry and Meghan, Piers commented: “I’ve got to hand it to the royal family, the ones who stayed in the country…
“I’ve got to hand it to them and say they’ve done a great job of what they should be doing.

“Which is just being comforters and consolers for the nation, stable and calm.”
After making the sly dig, the conversation turned to the state of affairs in China, where coronavirus restrictions have finally been lifted.
