This week, it was announced that Meghan Markle had landed a role with Disney, as she and Prince Harry embark on their new lives together away from the royal glare.
Harry and Meghan, who have reportedly relocated to California, are officially free of the duties associated with being senior members of the royal family as of April 1.
Ahead of the Disney+ voiceover movie role being announced, Harry and Meghan were met with criticism by some, when a conversation between Harry and Disney CEO, Bob Iger, was exposed.
The pair were seen hob-knobbing with the media big wigs at the Lion King UK premiere, where they also rubbed shoulders with Beyoncé.

In video footage taken of a chat between Harry and Iger, Prince Charles’s son could be heard saying: “You know she [Meghan] does voiceovers…”
“Oh, really?” Iger replied.
Harry then spoke about how Meghan would be interested in a future collaboration, and Iger said, “Sure. We’d love to try.”
Therefore, may people thought that Meghan’s new job role had come about as a result of that conversation – however, it has now been revealed that this is not the case.

In reality, Meghan had been approached earlier that summer by filmmakers Mark and Vanessa Berlowitz about the exciting project.
Hello! magazine reported that Meghan “had been aware of the film for some time and had seen some of the footage taken over a few years, so the team thought she would be a good fit for the narration given her passion for the subject.”
The former Suits actress, who recorded her voiceover in autumn, agreed to sign up to the project if the proceeds went to wildlife charity, Elephants Without Borders.
Sharing a statement about Meghan’s kind donation, a spokesperson for the charity wrote: “Harry and Meghan’s dedication to conversation is inspiring. Together, we will continue to work to conserve Africa’s natural heritage, with a focus on empowering the people who coexist with elephants.

“Everyone at EWB is grateful for their friendship and their unwavering support of our efforts to conserve this iconic species. Harry and Meghan have both visited us in Botswana, and [we] have no doubt that their passion and dedication will mean they continue to use their platform to make our world a better place.
“Thank you, Meghan. Because of you, this film brings knowledge and information to a global audience which in turn brings them closer to elephants. The impact will be global, reaching schools, more homes, and more countries.”
